Cats behaviour
When cats brush up on the owner, they treat him as another, a bit bigger cat with which to play. Hugging and rubbing against man are not words of love and reflexes that show cats to other cats. Stroking is tolerated by cats, but only because they are forced to do it. Vertically raised tail, is a sign of greeting between cats and showing affection to man. Researchers say that when cats mutter, it is not at all pleasant to them, as previously thought. According to the researchers, cats murmur because they demand food. The murmur is a signal for the feline mother to stop and feed the hungry cat. This way the cat treats us again as mame. According to the researchers cats live with people because they are so comfortable. Cats are our friends, but also the ones who are exploiting us.

So what does it mean when a cat is rubbing against me and miaowing or purring? Does it want food?
