Reflection#1

In recent days, a very strong hurricane has occurred on the east coast of the United States. We have at least 17 victims from current reports, huge areas have been flooded, losses are huge and are still growing.
These events forced me to think about how we can lose everything in an instant through the action of nature on which we can't do anything. Due to climate change, weather anomalies appear more and more often. These are things on which human has no influence, they destroy everything that they meet on their way and you can't do anything about it. Human in such a situation is powerless, he must leave the belongings of his life and everything he has worked on to save himself. People have subjugated the entire planet, but they still can not fully control nature. Nature is unpredictable and very dangerous for us, one of its actions, and we can lose everything.

    What puzzles me is why people don't just move somewhere else from the areas that are repeatedly exposed to extreme forces of nature. I can understand that if you are Japanese or Phillipino you don't have much choice because your whole country is an island. But Americans could move inland! The east coast of the US is exposed to hurricanes every year since I can remember and every time there are casualties and huge damages. The state could help these people relocate west.
    Or maybe I am just insensitive, maybe they are fishermen who have to live by the sea.

I would like to become a vegetarian for moral and ethical reasons. People kill innocent and defenseless animals to satisfy their own needs, they are really selfish, they feel a stronger species, so they started to rule over the weaker species, just because animals have no voice and can not defend themselves. People decide about the life of other animals, decide which animals are to eat and which to love and live in the house. People totally and without any scruples subjugated the lives of animals without thinking that animals are also living creatures and have the right to life.

What does it mean to be a real man?

There are a lot of stereotypes in our world about the characteristics and behaviors of men. From an early age they are perceived as strong, confident and almost without feelings, but being a real man is a lot of different character traits. A real man, of course, should be strong but at the same time he should be responsible, honest, helpful, resourceful, intelligent, caring and supportive.  He should defend his relatives. He is aware of what he is doing and doesn't run away from problems, he helps to find in a difficult situation. He is always truthful and honest. He should be helpful in many things from difficult situations to ordinary housework. It was to be able to talk with him on various topics. Caring and sensitive man who hug and comfort in sad moments. He should be a solid support, a person you can always count on. The presented features show what it means to be a real man.

Does school prepare us for life?

In my opinion school doesn't prepare us for adult life. The school teaches only a piece of knowledge from various fields of science, most of which won't be needed in adult life anyway and we will never use it. There is a long list of skills that we should acquire at school and which will be much needed in life, for example "motivating oneself to act". Apparently, school grades should motivate us at school, but it's just the opposite, they more often demotivate us. At school, we should learn to organize our work, our school duties should teach us organization but it is not. Most students don't know and can't  plan their time well. It is very important in life to deal with stress in difficult situations, school doesn't teach it, and as it already tries, these are activities that don't help. Assessments and competition between students cause an increase in stress that not everyone can manage.  School should teach us how to work in a group and communic...
