Reflection#3

Turnout in elections is growing which is a good sign but it is still very small. Over fifty percent is not a good result because it means that almost half of Poles did not vote. I can not understand why such a large number of people did not participate in the elections, it looks as if they were not interested in what is happening in the country where they live. Each of us, through choices, to a lesser or greater extent decides and influences what is happening in our country, if we have such a privilege, why we can not take advantage of it.

  1. The turnout in Poland is regularly one of the lowest in Europe. There are different explanations but the most common ones include our obsessive lack of trust in other people, politicians included, and very low engagement in social life (family and friends are all we care about). And these have roots in our history.
